Goal Stats

ball4Goals Statistics – Excellent goals analysis tools

Goals are the purest way of measuring and evaluating soccer performance. Things like corners, free kicks, yellow cards are all by-products of playing the game and trying to score goals.

ball41st | 2nd and FT Goal Stats

A tool that I find excellent for goal analysis is is the 1st and 2nd half goals analysis.

How are teams doing in the 1st half?
What’s happening in the 2nd half?
What are the dominant patterns, that will make you money, by winning bets?

You are able to choose the season, and the desired leagues, as well as the ‘X’ number of games you wish to analyse. Looking at the last 6 home games of the Premier League last season (2015). Aston Villa, Watford and Crystal Palace never won a 1st half game in their last 6 at home. Bournemouth won 1 1st half in 6, scoring 3 goals and conceding 9. That -6 goal differential was only topped by Aston Villa (-7).

Yet 2nd half Bournemouth were excellent. They won 4 of their last 6 2nd half games (a record shard by Liverpool, Newcastle, Man United and Spurs). This tool is packed with stats that will help you.

ball4Highest Scoring Half

The highest scoring half is a tricky bet. Which half has the most goals? You can choose 1st, 2nd or a tie. Amazingly, Everton never had 1 half at home last season that had the same number of 1st and 2nd half goals. They had 10 games with more 1st half goals, and 9 games with more second half goals.

Norwich led the way in more 2nd half goals (11 times in 19 games), showing that they ran out of steam in the second half of games.

ball4Exact match Goals

The exact goals in match is a popular bet. Again, you need solid stats to make more accurate predictions.

Soccer-betbrain has an exact goals analysis toolkit. It shows you exact 1st half goals, exact 2nd half goals and exact match goals.

Last season two teams were tops when it came to over 3.5 goals in a game in the Premier league. Chelsea and Man City each had 10 games finish over 3.5 goals. Man City won 7 of their 10, drawing once and losing twice.

Swansea were the highest 1 goal in a game team, having 7 of 19 home games finish with 1 goal. 4 teams never had a 0-0 result in 19 home games last season (Everton, Chelsea, Southampton and Liverpool). Man United had 4 0-0 draws at home, and just bored me to death.

So this is an excellent tool for exact goals, especially with the new bets the bookmakers are offering (ie. match finishes with 2 or 3 goals).

ball4Over/Under goals by half

There are two tools for 1st half and 2nd half under goals stats. They show you goals group by under 0.5, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 goals per half. There is also a grouping of 0/1 goals, 2 goals and 3 goal halves.
