End of Season

The betting environment changes near the end of the season. Some teams are highly motivated, while others have nothing to play for. Betting Advice : Stay away from those teams that have low motivation.

These teams include those with sour/players and inter-team conflicts.
Players holding out for new deals.
Players pissed-off because they have not played much.
Players who are fighting with teammates.
Teams that have nothing to play for. The are safe from relegation, but can't make the European places. Most of these teams are already on the beach. They want to get through the season, without injury, and too much more effort.

The teams that will be more consistent are those that are still in competitions. They will be highly motivated, and will deliver more. This includes teams fighting for the European spots, and those trying to survive being relegated.

English Premier

Tottenham, Man City, Liverpool, Man United and Arsenal are all in a dogfight, for 3 places to get in Europe. Everybody from Leicester downwards is trying to avoid relegation.

WBA, Stoke, Southampton, West Ham, Bournemouth and Burnley really have little to play for over the next 10 games. The are safe, but can't do much more this season. These teams should not be backed. They can be backed against, especially when the price is good and they are matched against a motivated team.

Newcastle and Brightion look set to claim the automatic spots, but for Brighton it will be close. Huddersfield are chasing them hard. Leeds, Reading, Sheffield Wed and Fulham will all give it a full go for the remainder of the season. From positions 16 downwards (Wolves and below), things will be tough and tight. Rotherham are down. Again, back the motivated team, if possible at HOME, well priced, against demotivated opponents. A low priced game is when the obvious result is expected. Normally the favorite is priced down, somewhere below 1.55 or 5.5 to 10. The question that often comes up is ...

"Can you win by betting on low priced games ?"

Well, the answer is YES, but you need to be making smarter bets. My #1 piece of advice for low priced bets is this.

Don't bet on low priced AWAY wins.

Even really good teams battle to win away games. At 5 to 10 odds you need a win rate of 67% to break even. Away from home this is hard to do.

Let's look at home win average prices this season. You can choose max home odds (say less than .7 for all teams). Then click on a column header to order the stats.

So we can see that 3 teams have had 12 games where the home win was priced below 7 to 10 this season. Newcastle, Celtic, PSG. Newcastle would have lost you money betting on the home win 12 times. Celtic would have won you almost 3 units for a 25% return. PSG would have emptied your pocket.

The best LOW Odds Teams

At odds of 7 to 10 or lower for the home win the best teams are

Celtic (12/12 wins | odds 0.24)
Roma (10/10 Odds 0.34)
Porto (9/9 Odds 0.24)
Chelsea (8/8 Odds 0.38)
Juventus(11/11 Odds 0.35).
